Jet Airways to launch Hyderabad-Dubai service
Indian carrier Jet Airways will launch daily services to Hyderabad from Dubai next month, it was announced on Wednesday.

The new route, which launches on August 16, will be Jet Airways’ fifth service to Dubai, with two daily flights currently operating from Mumbai. It also provides daily flights from Delhi and Chennai.

Services on a Boeing 737-800 from Hyderabad will leave at 9.30am, arriving in Dubai at 11.50am. The return journey leaves the emirate at 12.50pm and touches down at 6pm.

“With the growing popularity of Dubai as a leading business and leisure destination, there has been an increasing demand for enhanced air connectivity to the Gulf emirate from Southern India,” said Jet Airways’ CEO Wolfgang Prock-Schauer.

“We are confident that the new service from Hyderabad will be well-appreciated by travellers and will complement our existing services from India.”

Return fares for the Dubai to Hyderabad service start at AED995 ($270) for economy seats. The offer is valid for travel from August 16-22. Return journeys have to be completed by August 30.

Shakir Kantawala, Jet Airways’ general manager for Dubai and the Northern Emirates, said: “Hyderabad is another step to further enhance the Indo-Gulf connectivity. Dubai is home to one of the largest number of Andhra expatriates.

He added the new service will be popular among people originally from Hyderabad who are now working in the UAE.

Once the Hyderabad service is launched, Jet Airways will operate 17 frequencies in total to Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Dubai from several Indian cities.
